Video Teaser:

WHEN: August 21-22 2010
TIME: 0700 Hours Saturday to 1100 Hours Sunday
WHERE: Light Armored Division HQ, Camp O’donnell Capas Tarlac
GAME FEE: 350 PHP
ATTIRE: Any/All BDUs are accepted including contractor get ups. No MAONG/JEANS allowed.

The AGL Joint Tactical Exercise (JTX) first started way back in 2005 where
hundreds of fully armed soldiers complete with semi-automatic weapons and
NVGs simulated a military activity in order to improve their skills against
terrorist and destabilization attacks. The stage was set in Last Castle
which was the old Rizal Provincial Jail inside the capitol compound in
Pasig and home to the first ever JTX. Onlookers and bystanders feared that
this was another pending martial rule rattled out as armored vehicles pass
by them causing panic which spread all over the Metro.

Capt. Ramon Zagala and AFP officer/AGLB member Major Rommel Pereña (then a captain and an operations officer of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion), assured and clarified that the movement was merely an activity
to promote Airsoft as a sport to train their respective units. Since then,
all rumors that a coup was being staged were laid to rest and the AGL, in
partnership with the AFP opened all opportunities to apply the soldier’s
skill sets which they do not often have the chance to practice. Careful and
detailed planning is developed for months and as history shows, every time
a JTX is executed, it continually proves to be an important exercise the
soldiers undertake.

This annual exercise promotes three focus areas: conducting safe and
effective operations to achieve a mission, providing ready forces for
assignments, and teaming with allies and partners in execution of the
strategy.

The two day exercise, allows participants, both soldier and civilian, to
practice joint operations in a controlled environment and promote
camaraderie among players as well.

Below is a short history on AGL’s JTX conducted with the AFP.

JTX 1 2005- Last Castle, Brgy Kapitolyo, Pasig- Exercise siege with the 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, LRC, NAVY, AIRFORCE SPECIAL FORCES AND PHILIPPINE MARINES (JSOG)
JTX 2 2006- ARMY ADVENTURE ZONE – THE SIEGE
JTX 3 2007- ARMY ADVENTURE ZONE
JTX 4 2008- Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac. Iron Maidens vs. The women of the Light Armored Division featured in Sports Unlimited with guest
appearance by boxing legend Mr. Gerry Peñalosa
JTX 5 2009- Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac. Operation Iron Horse: 24 hour recon and ambush scenarios with APC’s utilization.
JTX 6 2010- Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac. - OPERATION IRON FORGE

6. No drinking of alcoholic beverages in the camp. Also, please limit your smoking to considerable levels, plus keep the camp clean from garbage, trash or any waste.

7. JTX rules and Regulations

I. No Mask, No Play
It is important that all Airsoft game participants MUST wear the most appropriate eye protection:
• Once the marshal has alerted everyone to put their “Masks Down” prior to the start of the skirmish
• During an on-going engagement
• When exiting an area of engagement. DO NOT REMOVE YOUR EYE PROTECTION UNTIL YOU REACH THE SAFE ZONE. Failure to follow these basic rules may result to eye injury or worse loss of vision if hit by a stray BB pellet. You have been forewarned.

II. Personal safety
a. It is your responsibility as an Airsoft player to ensure your personal safety. You are aware that this is a physical sport which may require you to overcome certain obstacles to meet a particular objective in the game.
b. Make sure that the adequate protection is applied to your body to ensure prevention or lessen the impact or effect of any unforeseen events and/or incidents. Protection may vary from:
i. Vests
ii. Knee pads
iii. Elbow pads
iv. Ear protection
v. Eye protection
vi. Full Face Masks
vii. Gloves
c. Always ensure that you have situational awareness. This is to prevent any problems of you getting lost in the camp. Remember that this is a large area with rough terrain, thick foliaged with steep inclines, plus it is a military camp.
d. Make sure that you are always rehydrated before, during and after a scenario skirmish. This is to ensure “combat effectiveness” and overall well-being.
e. Make sure you have personal communication equipment(cellphone, two-way radio, etc.) with you at all times during the event in case you need help or assistance.
f. If you have any questions regarding the camp, game scenario or anything related to the event, ASK! Go to the safe zone and contact any of the gamesite administrators.

III. Lethal Weapons are PROHIBITED
a. We do not encourage Airsoft players bringing their real steel weapons, knives and etc. in the camp.
b. Security personnel are already provided in the area therefore the need to bring a deadly weapon is unnecessary.
c. Wielding of said items will mean automatic ejection of the said individual from the camp.

IV. HITS
a. Legitimate hits to any parts of the body are FATAL HITS.
b. Ricochets are not considered HITS.
c. No Hit calling allowed.
d. Zombies are not allowed! There is no such thing as a human being impervious to bullets. Remember this is a military exercise. Acknowledge the bb hits and be thankful it is not a real steel round.
e. No overkills. With this rule, you must remember that there is an ammo cap for each scenario. So conserve your ammo. Also please do not provoke others to overkill you (don’t be a zombie. PLEASE.)

V. WEAPONS
a. Weapon safety is a must inside the camp on and off the scenarios/JTX proper.
- ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
- ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
- ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.
- Know your target and what is beyond.
- Know how to use the gun safely.
- Be sure the gun is safe to operate.
- Wear eye and ear protection as appropriate.
- Never use alcohol or over-the-counter, prescription or other drugs before or while shooting.

These are NRA Gun Safety rules. For a complete list and their descriptions, please refer to this webpage if you are not familiar with them: http://www.nrahq.org/education/guide.asp
b. FPS Limit is set at 480FPS @.2 bbs for Assault Weapons (includes rifles, SMGS, LMGS), 550FPS for Sniper/Stand off weapons (includes BASRS, GBBRS, semi auto weapons), 300FPS for Sidearms (includes pistols, grenades, claymores, grenade launchers etc). Violation of the limits is equal to no play unless you can present another weapon that passes the prescribed limit.
c. Single or burst fire is strictly implemented. Offenders will be warned and could be ejected should the offender be persistent against this rule.
d. Upon registration, weapons will be subject to chrono and inspection. After inspections, weapons shall be placed with seals along the upper receiver and lower receiver lines. Tampering with this seal is tantamount to disqualification and ejection from the event. If you have to fix the gun, please get in touch with the organizers from AGLB and LAD for proper handling and procedures.
e. Weapons/Players are subject to random inspections/chrono checks. If the player is found to be offending the rules regarding the FPS limits, ammo caps, tampering of the registration chrono seal, the player will automatically be ejected from the event.
f. Ammo cap for the event is 600 rounds for the whole duration of the JTX. Only 2 300 rounds hicap, 20 milsim mags/30rounders, 7 85 rounder lowcaps, and only 5 120 rounder midcaps are allowed. Reloading of ammo will be announced or integrated into a scenario ONLY.
